Teaching your child to read

The month of August was soooooo busy! With the campaign, vacation and and moving to a new place I didn’t have time to think straight! Thankfully, the move is over and unpacking is almost done and now I’m getting back to our normal routine….

I wanted to tell you about this great free website that really helped my daughter years ago when we were teaching her how to read and now we use it for my son. It’s called Starfall.com¬†and it was a fun way to teach letters , phonics and early reading. The website is free but they do have a curriculum you can purchase with additional features. The Site is interactive and you little one will enjoy playing the games so much they won’t realize they are learning. I would recommend starting this at the age of 2-3, it’s never too early to start!

Busy bags!

I have just found out about these amazing little bags designed to keep you tot busy while you start school for your older kids. Let me just say…FREAKING A-MAZING!!! It’s sometimes hard to focus with a 2 year old climbing all over the place. Now I can distract him with these wonderful contraptions called BUSY BAGS! Check em out.. Unless I’m the last person in the world to hear of these! lol
